Curiouser and Curiouser
Raging insomnia strikes again! Last night I had really bad insomnia; I tossed and turned for about 3 hours before finally accepting that I wasn't going to sleep. I finally got up around 4, read until five, took a shower, and then puttered around until 6:30 when everyone else in my house got up. They were all immensely shocked when they got up and saw my bed made, and myself all dressed and showered. Since I'd been up for about 2 and a half hours at this point, I was pretty awake and upbeat. (very good for me in the morning)
I knew that the lack of sleep would catch up at some point, so I broke my no caffeine rule and bought green tea on my way out. (It didn't work very well...I ended up accidentally falling asleep around 2 p.m. X D)
Today happened to be my Jury Duty day! How exciting! This was my first time being called to serve on a Jury, and it was actually somewhat interesting. I really would like to be on a jury, but since I'm leaving in a week and a half, it would've been really tight. I did meet some awesome people though and got some reading done, which was really nice. It wasn't how I would choose to spend my day, but I wouldn't say it was a bad day by any means. About an hour and a half before five (when jury duty ends) I was called to be one of the potential jurors for a criminal case. It seemed very interesting, but was expected to last 7-10 days and probably not start until Tuesday, so I was excused.
All in all, Jury duty wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. And because there's the one day, one trial rule, I'm completely done for the year. YES!
