I was looking back at a post i made last year about 25 things that I want to do before I turn 25. While I haven't done most of the things on the list, I was surprised to discover that I've fulfilled five of those things on the list.  If I continue to do five per year then I'll actually accomplish all of them before I turn 25!

I'm doing a different list this year, a kind of resume of the highs of the year.

Ten highlights

1. Going to France
Technically this overlaps with last year, but I finished my trip to France after the year started. Living in France was an incredible experience. I learned how to meet people while abroad but also that traveling by myself can be just as great. I ate the best bread in the world every day and then could have crepes whenever I felt like it. Visiting the main monuments of Paris, as well as the lesser known ones and learning how they formed an active part of French history was incredibly fun.

2. Realizing that studying meant better grades
This semester I studied a lot. A lot a lot. Cutting back on activities was a hard decision, but getting my highest gpa for college was worth it. Also, I'm immensely glad that junior year is over-- I'm so relieved.

3. Successfully putting on a film series
For my one activity that I didn't give up, I put on a film series. It was a draining, stressful experience in which I learned to never try to show a movie through a laptop, to arrive at least an hour early for set up, and how to burn my own dvds. The learning curve was sharp, but by the end, we knew what we were doing and had a regular group of people coming to our events.

4. My Brother's Graduation
Even though I logically knew that my brother would graduate high school, I couldn't really believe it was happening. The ceremony itself was gorgeous and he looked very handsome and professional. (A bit weird..) But the best part was having dinner with all of my family. I think 34 people showed up for his graduation and then went to dinner. Where everyone was drunk and crazy X D

5. Doing the Pubcrawl in Ireland
My first time going to a pub/bar was in Ireland and coincidentally where I had my first alcoholic cider. All the people we met there were so nice and friendly. I think I fell in love with the bartender at one of the pubs and kept trying to drunkenly flirt with him. I really hope that drinking in America is similar to drinking in Ireland....

6. Starting to date again
I kind of withdrew myself from the dating game after freshmen year and it was a lot of fun to get back involved in it. Disasterous on many levels, but a lot of fun. Also, it got my mom off my back for a while.

7. Going skiing with my best friends.
Skiing is one of my favorite activities period. But when my friends came up, I got to do what I love most with my best friends.

8. Teaching myself how to cook
I'm proud that I'm finally learning a usable life skill! That has the additional benefit of tasting delicious when I make it correctly.

9. Visiting Europe with my family
My family's kind of crazy, so we had some crazy times exploring Eastern Europe by car. From trying to speak Czech to getting lost in Austria, traveling with my family is always an adventure.

10. Meeting new people
This year I  made great friends, both online and offline, who are really wonderful people. They all support me when I'm freaking out and put up with my insanity. <3

I was also planning to do the ten worst lows and then realized that would be incredibly depressing X D
