I've been meaning to update forever because HEY I'M TOTALLY ADDICTED TO BRILLIANT LEGACY and also I just returned from Japan (where perhaps not so coincidentally I got addicted to Brilliant Legacy).
( First of all? Brilliant Legacy has completely taken over my life. I'm in love with the main characters and the plot has just kept me completely glued to my screen. )

Also since getting back from Japan I've gotten into Being Human. I just finished watching the first seven/six episodes and really like the direction the show is taking. I might try to do a post on it, because it definitely deserves watching.

Hey everyone!

I hope everyone's week has been going well! I'm finally starting to get over my cold---and my allergic reaction X D. Apparently my body doesn't like certain antibiotics and decided to inform me via a huge amount of hives. It's my firm opinion that I should only see red spots on me when getting the chicken pox.

School's also started up and it's already pretty intensive. I originally signed up for four physics classes and one french lit class, but i'm thinking of dropping one or two physics classes for elementary number theory. Pro: There's no mid terms or finals for the class and my favorite math ta will be ta-ing this class. con: taking this class commits me to a math double major so I have to take two more math classes. Also, I have to drop either EM or Galaxies.

The professor for EM seems really awesome. He had an entire presentation today about the history of physics at my school and a little bit of school history I didn't even know. He also talked about how this class will give us the toolbox to deal with physics in general and it seems like such a great learning opportunity. He even took the girls aside after the class and gushed how excited he was that one third of the class is female and to tell him if we ever think he should do something to improve getting women in the field. He was so cute and sweet. However, this class promises to be a lot of work--especially because I struggled a lot with it last semester. I just don't know if it's worth it.

As for the galaxies class, the teacher herself was a bit dry, but the material seems so interesting. She showed us this simulation of two massive galaxies colliding and their black holes "activating." There's a really cool movie of the simulation here, if you scroll down and click on the second picture. It's all very relaxed and good for the first few hundred million years as the galaxies collide but on their second collision the black holes suddenly turn on and the gas (which the simulation is of) is suddenly blown away. It's crazy.
