Last night turned out to be movie night and I after I watched Imagine Me  & You, my roommate and I watched Pretty in Pink. Prior to last night, I hadn't watched Pretty in Pink in several years. I had completely forgotten that Andrew McCarthy is teh hot. *melts into puddle* But yet, I couldn't help but imagine all the characters as they relate to Hana Yori Dango! I'm soooooo sad. Anyways, I totally saw James Spader as being Domyouji, Andrew McCarthy being Rui and Molly Ringwald as Makino. I guess then the ending of Pretty in Pink would have to be changed in order to comply with Hanadan, but still, the characters are totally the same! I guess James Spader would have to be less sleazy and be a little more human, but I totally saw him as Domyouji. Maybe I'm just going insane. That's completely plausible.

THEN, my friend surprised me and came over...at midnight. Despite being so late, it was very exciting to see her! I love when people come over and surprise me. We ended up talking about ex-boyfriends and random girl things  before we wandered onto the topic of random movies. I started talking about how I'd just downloaded My Sassy Girl because I hadn't watched it in ages. <random tangent> My Sassy Girl was my first Korean film/drama/anything. Way before I'd even discovered the crack that is Full House, my good friend sat me down and had me watch My Sassy Girl. It changed my life. Ok, maybe that's a little exaggerated, but I definitely loved the film. Good times. </random tangent> My friend had never even heard of My Sassy Girl, so I talked her into watching the first 10 minutes or so. And she loved it! (score!) We only watched the first half, because we started at 1 in the morning and we both had classes to go to. But she made me promise that we'd finish watching it tonight. I hadn't seen the film in such a long time so that I forgot just how funny the film is. I worried that we'd actually wake up my roommate we were laughing so hard. And she was sleeping in her room with the door closed. X D
I can't quite put my finger on it, but there's something amazingly enjoyable about watching an old favorite film with a good friend. It just feels so nice. And if you haven't seen  My Sassy Girl yet, (have you been hiding under a rock?), I highly encourage you to do so. Because it's just plain cracktastic.
On a slightly random note, I'm officially doing my last act of teenage rebellion tomorrow morning. I'm turning 20 in a little less than two months and I know that it sounds weird, but I'd like to freak my parents out one last time as a teenager. And so I'm finally going to do what I've been meaning to do for the past 5 years: dye my hair! I know that it sounds like a kind of wimpy rebellion and.... I'm totally there with you, but it's perfect for my parents. Or more specifically my mother, because my dad won't even care. Even though my mother dyes her hair, she's absolutely against me doing it to my hair. X D It's my first time having my hair dyed, so I'm kind of nervous, but really excited!
